The Jester who also goes by the leet handle of th3j35t3r[1]) is a self confessed grey hat hacker. He claims to be responsible for DoS attacks on WikiLeaks, 4chan, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and Islamist websites. He is also known to be strongly pro-US and claims to be acting out of American patriotism. The Jester uses a denial-of-service (DoS) tool known as “XerXeS”, that he claims to have developed. One of The Jester’s habits is to tweet “TANGO DOWN” on Twitter whenever he claims to have successfully taken down a website. In a tweet, ‘The Jester,’ aka th3j35t3r, announced that following the attack to his Jester’s Court blog, he pointed his domain so that the traffic would instead be directed at Mossad. As of Monday noon EST, Mossad’s site is intact and JesterCourt.cc is at present functioning fully. The Jester claims to be a former military contractor. He also claims that since 2010 he’s knocked more than 180 websites offline, including those of the Occupy movement, Anonymous, Wikileaks, Hamas and Jihadist sites. He has spoken at hacker conferences via remote feeds to preserve his anonymity and his motivations and techniques used in past hacking campaigns were profiled by the SANS Institute in 2011.
