Glassdoor browsed its huge database of company reviews and ratings from current and former employees to find the companies with the most satisfied workers. Ranking includes companies with more than 1,000 employees, and it’s based on employee reviews submitted since November 2016. Organizations were ranked based on employee ratings across several factors, such as overall satisfaction, career opportunities, compensation and benefits, work-life balance, culture, values and business outlook. Based on employees’ reviews, companies received overall ratings on a scale of one to five, with five signifying the most satisfied employees. Even though Silicon Valley bigwigs make a strong showing, “this year’s list represents a diverse group of employers hiring across the country, including top companies in tech, retail, health care, consumer goods, consulting and more,” said Robert Hohman, Glassdoor’s CEO and co-founder.
